US government apologises to SRK for airport detention

Early this morning, we told you about Shah Rukh Khan getting detained at US airport (AGAIN! Shah Rukh Khan detained at US airport, Aug 12).  SRK himself had tweeted about his detention and then, following which the media went berserk.

However, the US government quickly salvaged the situation. Rich(ard) Verma, the United States Ambassador to India, apologised to King Khan and even posted it on Twitter:

Shah Rukh, accepted the apology and replied immediately:

And now, some EXCLUSIVE bit of news. SpotboyE.com has already told you that SRK is visiting the US with his children Aryan and Suhana. And now, we will tell you why they are there.

The handsome Aryan, who passed out of Sevenoaks School in London recently, has taken admission in the University of South California. We hear, he’ll be pursuing  Film & TV studies there.

The classes are about to begin next week and the doting dad that he is, Shah Rukh decided to spend some quality time with Aryan and ensure that he is properly settled there.
During Eid, King Khan had said he is training Aryan before he starts his formal education in films.

Coming back to SRK’s airport detention, this is not the first time it has happened. The earlier episode in 2009 went something like this: Khan arrived at White Plains Airport on a small private plane along with industrialist spouse Nita Ambani and some others en route to Yale University, where the Bollywood megastar was to receive a Chubb fellowship and deliver a speech.

While Ambani and others were cleared swiftly, SRK was reportedly stopped for extended questioning about his programme. By his own account, related in interactions with students when he finally reached Yale some three hours behind schedule, he was held for 90 minutes. Others said it was two hours.
